FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April, 2001:
In early April, the Atlanta Journal and Constitution started
up two shaftless TKS Color Top 7000 CD Towers at their
Norcross printing plant. These towers were purchased to
give Atlanta additional color capacity for their New York
Times product. This is the first time in the United States
that shaftless towers have been successfully added to a
shafted press. The entire installation took less than two
months and no production operations were interrupted.
Robert Guthrie, Plant Manager at Norcross, said, "TKS took
full responsibility for this project, including training,
from the start and we were very pleased with the end results."
The Color Top 7000 is the shaftless version of the highly
succesful Color Top 6000. To date, TKS has sold over 1,100
couples of the shaftless Color Top 7000.
