Although the weather in Orlando was unseasonanly wet and gloomy, the
TKS Booth lit up the convention floor with a combination of neon lights
and a dazzling product line.
A working spray bar, the new generation T-NPC console and the Inspector
-300 were some of the highlights of TKS' NEXPO showcase.
Two continously running video presentations demonstrated TKS products in
action. One video featured the TKS shaftless 7000CD press performing
on-the-fly plate, page, and page-size changes.
The other video showed our full line of roll-handling products: from truck
unloading and high bay storage, to PPR and roll delivery via motor dolly.
With the entire TKS Group working together (TKS manufacturing high quality
offset printing presses, TKE manufacturing electronic sub-components, and
KKS manufacturing material handling equipment), we are able to offer a
full line of products to the newspaper market.
There has been a great deal of interest from our customer base for the
integration of press software into a full production software package.
At NEXPO, TKS announced its new Total Operations Production System (TOPS).
The new generation software will help newspapers plan and run their presses
more effectively.
To kick off the show, TKS held a reception where Frank Tyler, President, TKS
(U.S.A.), Mike Sheehan, Vice President Production, Wall Street Journal, and
John Gotch, Director of Production, Newsday, Inc., participated in a tra-
ditional Kagami-Wari ceremony. Together, they smashed a sake barrel lid,
signaling the start of the festivities.
Las Vegas is the site for NEXPO '03. See you there!!
