August 1999:

TKS is pleased to announce an order for a complete shaftless
press to be installed in the Tokyo area later next year.
The customer, Sankei, is installing the press at its Urayasu
printing facility. The towers will have one motor per unit.
The is the first sale of a complete shaftless press in Japan.

Shafltess technology is not new to the Japanese market. In
Akita, they have been running TKS shaftless towers on a TKS
shafted press since 1998.
